Hi, I’m Melanie — Advisor, Trainer, and Sales Strategist.

I was drawn to real estate long before I ever realized it would become my career. I grew up in a home where buying, selling, and building were just part of the rhythm of life. With every move, I would reinvent my bedroom, from the colours on the walls to the way the space was laid out. I grew up aspiring to be like my aunt, who led leasing teams downtown at a time when few women held that kind of leadership. Even then, I was fascinated by how people find their place.

Fresh out of a business and marketing program, and after working in leasing on weekends for extra money, I started on the front lines of new-construction sales. I set up signs and balloons, took registrations, gave tours, wrote contracts, and learned every moving part of how a community comes to life. It gave me a ground-level understanding of what truly builds buyer confidence and what quietly erodes it.

Over time, I grew into senior sales and leadership roles, helping guide teams, shape sales strategies, and support major launches across the Fraser Valley and Lower Mainland. I’ve since been involved in more than 40 projects, developing frameworks and processes that improved conversions, strengthened communication, and elevated the buying experience. Those experiences taught me how differently projects perform when sales, marketing, and leadership are truly aligned.

As my role grew, so did my awareness of what was missing in the industry.

I saw developers who needed strong sales leadership but didn’t always have the scale or budget for a full-time Director of Sales. I saw teams trying to bring sales in-house without the structure to support it. I watched talented sales professionals struggle for clarity and purpose in a difficult market, and I saw a real lack of modern, practical education around how new-construction is actually sold.

I wanted to do more than support individual projects. I wanted to help strengthen the entire ecosystem.

That’s what led me to step away from my previous role and launch Themmen Advisory, offering fractional sales leadership, hands-on team development, and strategic guidance for projects at every stage.

It’s also what inspired Cultivate Mindset. After years of building training programs behind the scenes, I wanted to bring that knowledge forward and make it accessible, giving sales professionals and Realtors practical tools to grow, adapt, and build meaningful careers in new-construction.

Today, my work brings together advisory leadership and education to support the people and teams shaping how new homes are sold.

  • I have worked within a sales capacity from the sales floor (in all roles! yes, even a hostess before I got my real estate license!) to a directorial role overseeing multiple projects in an industry leading marketing and sales company.

  • I have either directly sold or supported the sales teams of almost $1.5 Billion dollars of real estate from condos, townhomes, and single family across the Lower Mainland, Okanagan, and Vancouver Island.

  • I have worked on over 40 projects from across the Lower Mainland, Okanagan, and Vancouver Island. These range from master-planned communities, multi-building communities, mixed product communities and multi-phase communities.

  • From the Lower Mainland, heavily focused in the Fraser Valley, as well as the Okanagan Kelowna region, Victoria and adjacent cities on Vancouver Island.
